The Collective Mission
The Breach Collective is dedicated to making Progressive Theology more accessible.
We mean to breach beyond the walls of traditional church.
One way we do this is by translating our
beliefs and hopes, our doubts and traditions, our questions and our sermons
into pop art.
To this end, our Collective is comprised of
creative, homemade, and progressive Christian ministries.
If you have an idea for a homespun project you'd like to try
send us a little love note.
Little fun experiments are exactly the light needed
to help the Church grow.
Christianity is our starting place, but not our only vehicle.
So people of all faiths are welcome to join in our little adventure.
We hope this challenges you.
We hope this nurtures you.
We hope this moves you.
We ask that you do the same for us!
Here, you can be yourself.
No matter what faith you hold,
No matter what type of body you have,
No matter what love you share,
We invite you to engage with us,
whether you agree with our thoughts
...or not...
we want to be in dialogue with you!

What does the Breach mean?
Jesus walked a fine line.
He came to both break away from the distorted traditions
and reclaim the beautiful heart of an ancient faith.
We strive to do the same.
We mean to breach with a tradition usurped by intolerance, violence, and greed.
And we mean to be Repairers of the Breach like Isaiah 58 calls us to be
to loose the bonds of injustice
to undo the thong of the yoke
to let the oppressed go free
to do Church like Church was meant to be.
That means this
We are Breaching with the Broken
We are cutting ourselves off from the broken parts of the tradition
And we are reconnecting with and as the people who have been broken by the institution
We are Rebuilding with the Lost
We are rebuilding alongside the people whom the Church has lost
And we are reclaiming the ancient beauty and progressive heart that the Church has forgotten
